Food Network taps Hannah Hart for new series

The Food Network has partnered with social media influencer Hannah Hart to start with a new six-episode series titled I Hart Food.

“Food Network has been an incredible partner and I’m really proud of the show we made together,” says Hart, who also served as an executive producer for the series.

“I am so excited to share the experiences of extra-ordinary meals and the chefs who shared their passions and expertise with me on ‘I Hart Food.’ I’m a major food enthusiast and this show is perfect for those who have an insatiable appetite for all things food,” she added.

The new series will see Hart follow her appetite to discover local dishes throughout the U.S. and uncover the stories behind them.

For this, Hart will visit Santa Fe, N.M. in the premiere episode and will explore Asheville, N.C.; Portland, Maine; Eugene, Ore.; Minneapolis, Minn.; and Missoula, Mont. The series will premiere on the Food Network on August 14.

Hart is the creator and star of the weekly web series My Drunk Kitchen and has gathered more than 5 million followers on social media.

She is also the author of My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide to Eating, Drinking and Going with Your Gut and Buffered: Unshared Tales of a Life Fully Loaded.
