Nivea has roped in Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as the new brand ambassador for Nivea Men. The ‘Padmaavat’ actor, with his stardom and popularity, will help the brand directly communicate to young India and create further aspiration for Nivea Men in India.
Commenting on the association, Ranveer Singh was quoted as saying, “NIVEA is a pioneer in male skincare epitomizing CARE and a brand that I have been using since my teens. My allegiance towards NIVEA MEN is much stronger as I believe that our growth stories are similar and we have been innovating in our own ways to engage with the dynamic youth of India.”
For the first time, a brand will showcase the unexplored and sensitive facets of Singh’s personality of being an inspiring buddy, caring, modest and at the same time leverage the modern, dynamic, spontaneous and quirky side of the superstar that is known to the world.
Neil George, Managing Director, Nivea India, said, “Singh personifies young India and embodies Nivea Men’s characteristics of being a powerhouse of talent and an achiever, who is straightforward yet quirky, confident but approachable, masculine but self-effacing, and above all caring.
Singh will be actively involved in a series of marketing and customer initiatives apart from being featured in the brand’s advertising and digital campaigns. The launch of Nivea Men’s innovation in the deodorant segment will kickstart on August 4 and will be followed by a multimedia campaign starting August 10.
“Nivea India is addressing the young, modern consumer and this is a step towards tapping into the trend of ‘modernity’ and Singh is the perfect evangelist for the brand to increase its engagement with young India.”
With a presence in nearly 150 countries, Nivea Men has a range of caring products, specially developed for the male skin.
