Penske Media makes strategic investment in Wenner Media

Penske Media has made a strategic investment in Wenner Media, the majority stake holder of the pop culture magazine Rolling Stone. Though the financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, however the investment will see the magazine being bolstered by Penske’s media portfolio which includes Deadline.com and Women’s Wear Daily. The publication will also benefit from a renewed focus on growth and quality journalism, according to Penske. Additionally, Rolling Stone co-founder Jann Wenner will officiate as editorial director while Gus Wenner will remain president and chief operating manager. Nelvana gets into publishing; set to launch series of books

In its zest to get into publishing, Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana has tapped Chouette Publishing to launch a series of books inspired by its original pre-school series Ranger Rob. The news of Ranger Rob‘s move into publishing comes as Nelvana continues to expand the brand. India-based YouTube channel ChuChu TV has partnered with learning media company Skoolbo to launch ChuChuSchool. ChuChuSchool joins the ChuChu TV family of channels including ChuChu TV Surprise, ChuChu TV Funzone and ChuChu TV Story Time.
