Mumbai’s Oberoi Mall unveils life size sculpture of Jurassic World’s ‘Blue’

Mumbai’s trendiest shopping destination – Oberoi Mall partners with Universal Pictures India and unveiled the life size sculpture of Jurassic World’s Velociraptor dinosaur, popularly known as “Blue” for the very first time in India.

The sculpture was flown down from Universal Studios to India to give a peek into the upcoming dinosaur movie, according to an APN News report.

The showcase is open from June 1 until June 10.

Commenting on the association, Anupam T, Vice President, Oberoi Mall said, “We are thrilled to partner with Universal Pictures India to recreate Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in our mall and exhibit this life size sculpture of the Jurassic World franchise’s most popular dinosaur, Blue. We at Oberoi Mall endeavor to offer our customers exciting and trend setting events. We hope this event will be a memorable experience for our shoppers.”

The mall is also hosting lots of fun filled activities such as the Fossil excavation zone and VR zone along with exclusive Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom prizes and giveaways.

To create more excitement, Kids also got an opportunity to build a 90,000-piece Lego dinosaur from scratch. Jurassic World fans could also buy their exclusive merchandise and win exciting gifts.

Oberoi Mall took to the Twitter and wrote, “Here’s a snippet of the fun and games that await you at Oberoi Mall from today onwards till 10th June! Visit Oberoi Mall with your family and friends and experience the thrill of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.”


Blue has been brought to India by Universal Pictures India and Black White Orange Pvt Ltd – NBC Universal’s brand licensing partner.

Set 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, the Jurassic World theme park lets guests experience the thrill of witnessing actual dinosaurs. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom releases in India on June 7 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
