Canadian shoe company Aldo acquires footwear business of Camuto Group

After a deal, Canadian shoe company Aldo has acquired the footwear and accessories business of The Camuto Group, it is understood. The deal follows on the heels of several other major mergers in the fashion space including Michael Kors’ recent acquisition of Jimmy Choo and Coach’s purchase of Kate Spade in May. The Camuto Group was founded by the late Vince Camuto who also founded Nine West.
