After paying tribute to the victims of 26/11 Mumbai terror attack with its Eternal Mumbai collection, Titan, India’s largest and most trusted watch brand, launched a limited-edition collection of watches – The Forever Kolkata Collection.
The beautifully crafted collection is inspired by the famous scriptures and monuments of the city of joy. These wrist pieces take inspiration from some of the most iconic elements such as Howrah Bridge, Victoria Memorial, Dakshineswar Temple and Bangla script.
The collection starts at Rs 4,610 and ranges up to Rs 6,920.
Sharing a video, Titan wrote, “The sounds you love to hear and the words you speak, now also tell time in the language so close to your heart. Forever Kolkata – a collection of limited-edition timepieces, intricately designed to bring alive the charisma of Kolkata on your wrist”
The collection was presented in an artistic exhibition at the Birla Academy of Arts and Culture.
The Forever Kolkata Collection was unveiled by Suparna Mitra, chief marketing officer, watches and accessories, Titan company and Rajeshwari Srinivasan, associate vice president and regional business head – east, Titan company.
Commenting on the launch, Suparna Mitra said, “Titan is an authentic Indian brand and we’ve always taken great pride and inspiration from the ever-evolving modern India. The Forever Kolkata collection for us, is an artistic tribute to everything that this beautiful city has to offer.”
The collection has eight distinctive timepieces for both men and women.
These watches are adorned with artistic dials crafted with different techniques – photo-printing, etching and embossing. The watches feature in rose-gold and steel finishes strapped with genuine leathers in four different colours.
Rajeshwari Srinivasan said “Titan has been associated with the beautiful city of Kolkata for the last 30 years. Kolkata has played a key role in our success, and this collection is our way of celebrating our long-standing relationship with Kolkatans. The Forever Kolkata collection is an elegant and contemporary reflection of the city.”
Consumers will have the choice of customizing their watches at the Titan – Park Street store.
The collection is available exclusively at select World of Titan stores in Kolkata and online on the company’s website.
Across the country, the company sold 200 million timepieces till 2017.
